Somalilandsun – The Minister of the Presidency, Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan has responded to claims that relations between himself and the President of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohammed Mohammud (Silanyo) have become strained.

Many have often speculated regarding the state of the relationship between the President and his Minister of the Presidency, however, despite the speculation, Minister Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan has been a regular figure in the Somaliland cabinet, even though there have been many reshuffles.
Following his return after representing Somaliland as part of the delegation that just returned from the Re-recognition of Somaliland by the 2nd local authority in the United Kingdom following Cardiff City Councils decision to recognise Somaliland is a vote that united the entire council, something the councillors themselves were surprised with. However, on this note the Minister of the Presidency said “Over the past 5 years there have been many that have wished that the relationship between myself and President Ahmed Mohammed Mohammud (Silanyo) became sour. He has asked me fulfil a role that I undertake, so therefore the relations between myself and the President are as they were”
