Somalilandsun: Kenya has officially opened a consulate in Hargeisa as the East African power house formalizes relations with Somaliland.
The consulate was part of a December 2020 memorandum signed in Nairobi between Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Muse Bihi Abdi which also includes direct Nairobi -Hargeisa Kenya Airways flights, as well as people to people movements, trade and investment as well as technical and educational cooperation.
Revealing the opening the Kenya ministry of foreign Affaits tweeted
We are proud to announce our official representatives to the Kenyan consulate in #Somaliland, led by the very able Benson Mwakilo.
