AINABO (Somalilandsun) – Unless suspected of intent to commit a crime the government lacks’ the moral right to deny any citizens his or her freedom of movement in Somaliland.

This was stated by the politician Hirsi Haji Ali during a telephone interview with Somalilandsun from his base in Ainabo from where he accused the minister of interior for orchestrating his entry refusal to the ongoing Habar Jeylo clan meeting.

“Immediately we approached the outskirts of Ainabo town, a police contingent led by the Sarar regional governor stooped my delegation from proceeding to the meeting venue” said Hirsi

Ironically Musa Behi the Kulmiye parry Chair whose selection by the party as presidential hopeful in 2017 elections, a move that led to the subsequent resignation of Hirsi and other ministers from the president Silanyo administration was visible in place following a warm welcome by the regional government.
