Somalilandsun: The ruling Somaliland Kulmiye party has taken a new leadership look following conclusion of its three days 4th National Conference held in Hargeisa last week.
According to the list of 241 members of the party’s released several former members of the central committee have been excluded despite being not only staunch supporters but founders as well.
Those out are mostly people who served in the Kulmiye party administration of immediate past President Silanyo namely former presidency Minister Mohamud Hashi Abdi, former Minister of Planning Mohamed Ibrahim Aden (Qabo), former Minister of Minerals Eng. Hussein Abdi Duale and Former Minister of Industry Shuaib Mohamed Muse.
Others are politician Mohamed Iid Dhimbiil and Somaliland Ambassador to Kenya Bashe Awil Haji Omar who is also son in law to ex-president Silanyo.
Most of the politicians who have been excluded from the party’s central committee have not yet commented, with the exception of Mohamed Iid Dhimbiil who has reacted with vehement condemnation which he termed as dictatorial.
