Somalilandsun: After a couple of months without topmost resident diplomat in place, Hargeisa based and Ethiopia’s consulate in Somaliland is now fully operational.
This follows the arrival in the country of newly appointed Representative of the Federal Government of Ethiopia to Somaliland, Amb. Said Mohamed Jibril.
On arrival at Egal Airport in Hargeisa Amb Jibril, was greeted by officials from the Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The new envoy from the capital Addis Ababa is officially starting his diplomatic career, having landed in the Somaliland capital Hargeisa.
Amb.Saeed Mohamed Jibril replaces former Amb. Shamsudiin Ahmed Roble, who has been absent for a long time, although the Ethiopian office in Hargeisa is functioning well.
Prior to his appointment as Ethiopia’s Representative to Somaliland, Dr. Saeed Mohamed Jibril was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Hargeisa.
