HARGEISA: (Somalilandsun)-The Minister of the Presidency Hon Hirsi Ali Hassan accompanied by the Minister of Interior Hon. Ali Mohammed Waran’ade handed-over the responsibility to over-see the completion of the up-grading and re-construction of the busy Hargeisa –Berbera highway to the Hargeisa Municipal Council.
City Mayor Cllr Abdirahman Mohamud Aideed took over the responsibilities given that a portion of the road passed through the city.
Speaking to journalists at the roadside venue at the point where the city’s boundary started, Hon. Waran’ade thanked the President H.E Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud (Silanyo) and Hon. Hirsi Ali Hassan for master minding and spearheading the construction of the vital road which links the eastern region of the country to the rest of the nation and brings a lot of revenue to the government.
Hon. Hirsi thanked the president for giving them the opportunity to work for the country in an important national building issue which will alleviate the suffering of many motorists who have to ply the dangerous road which links the port city of Berbera to the capital.
