BALIGBADLE (Somalilandsun) – The state is hosting journalist Abdi Samriye at the Baligubadle police station courtesy of the local government.
The journalist who is the Hawd regional stringer for HCTV and Dhambaal media was arrested at around midday upon orders of Local Baligubadle mayor Coucillor Abdi Imaan Jama for reasons yet to be ascertained.
Speaking from his cell on phone with colleagues in Hargeisa journalist Samriye said, “Am currently at the Baligubadle police station here I was brought around midday following arrest orders issued by Mayor Abdi Imaan’
Meanwhile a hadhwanaagnews report informs that mayor Abdi has refuted his alleged involvement in the arrest and subsequent detention of the Journalist , “Samriye was arrested after he started building on a piece of land he had grabbed from another resident ” said the mayor as while distancing himself from accusations of personal vendetta
