Somaliland: 151 Families Benefit from “Ramadan Breakfast with Wadani” Project

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The Wadani opposition party has started distributing foodstuffs donated by Diaspora based party members.
During the launch of the “Ramadan Breakfast with Wadani” project party officials led by Chairman Abdirahman Irro distributed assorted foodstuffs to 151 families.
This project that goes towards sharing with less fortunate members of society shall continue nationwide until the end of the ongoing holy month of Ramadan” said Irro
Thanking Diaspora Wadani party members based in various countries worldwide for their donations that make “Breakfast with Wadani” possible Abdirahman Irro who also doubles as speaker of Somaliland parliament said distribution function held at the party’s headquarters in Hargeisa was the launching pad for similar nationwide.
According to the Wadani party shadow minister of Interior Mustafa Qodah beneficiaries of the assorted foodstuffs including Dates, Cooking oil and flour among others were pooled from the Hargeisa shanties of Statehouse, Sheikh Nuur, Dami and Akara predominantly inhabited by IDP’s.
