GAROWE (Somalilandsun) – Garowe hospital is treating 12 military officers from the Somalia administrative region of Puntland
The 12 officers were injured in a car accident that saw 10 others die at Buura-wadal centre in the Sool region as they were fleeing from Somaliland army units.
The president of Puntland Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gas who visited the ailing officers at the Garowe hospital promised to continue with his campaign of disrupting peace in Somaliland where the 10 died and 12 injured as they were running away from army units based in Sool region.
In the recent past the government of the Somalia administrative region of Somalia which borders Somaliland in the east has been engaged in a major build-up of troops geared towards confrontation with Somaliland army.
Meanwhile The Somaliland army has announced full preparedness and readiness to defend the country from external attacks/
The warning was issued by the armed forces chief of Staff Major General Ismail Mohamed Shakale during an inspection tour of army bases in Sool Region where Puntland is amassing heavily armed troops.
