Somalilandsun – The presidents of Somalia and Somaliland are in Turkey at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu for talks to mitigate problems the two sides are facing.
The two presidents are currently in the resumed talks between the two countries being moderated by Turkish officials led by the foreign minister Davutoglu while it is anticipated that President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
A statement the Turkish Foreign Ministry released on Friday said Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and Somaliland President Ahmed Silanyo will meet in Ankara on Saturday.
The statement noted that Turkey will continue to lend its support to finding a peaceful solution to the problems between Somalia and Somaliland through dialogue.
During a meeting by the two countries talk’s preparatory committee the Somaliland delegation headed by foreign minister presented its position paper that will be basis for the agenda. http://somalilandsun.com/index.php/politics/2655
