Egypt’s Sinai Joins Group of No Fly Zones


No fly restrictions in place over the Sinai peninsula

Somaliland sun – According to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), six countries – Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, North Korea and Iraq – are completely off-limits to commercial airlines, as are parts of Ukraine, where Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down in July 2014.

After the disaster of the Russian plane Airbus A321-200 and demise of its entire over 200 passengers who were returning home after a holiday at the posh Egyptian tourist resort of sharm El Sheikh the Telegraph reports that the Sinai peninsula is just the latest addition to a growing list of no-fly zones around the world.
