International Human Rights Training ProgramInternational Human Rights Training Program -OPEN FOR REGISTRATION!-

Somalilandsun – SpeakOut! is taking place in the International City of Peace and Justice – The Hague, Netherlands from August 6th to August 8th .

SpeakOut! is a unique three-days programme of workshops and networking events which intends to bring together UNPO Members youth and give them necessary means and skills to be effective in Human Rights lobbying and advocacy. The main target group of the event is youth aged 18-32, but older applicants are also acceptable.

The aim of SpeakOut! is to successfully train young trainers to become reliable channels of Human Rights advocacy, supported by interactive workshops, UNPO designed literature and study materials, participants become capable of re-teaching the skills and knowledge gained on effective Human Rights advocacy, United Nations tools and mechanisms, grassroots funding, and effective lobbying practices. The main focus in this year is on Internet as a mean of communication and crowd-funding.

Day 1:

09:15 – 10:45 Ice breaker and acquainting with each other

10:45 – 12:15 Workshop 1 by UNPO team on United Nations Humans Rights Mechanisms

12:15 – 13:00 Lunch

13:00-13:45 Travelling to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon

13:45 – 16:30 Visit to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon

16.30 End of Day One

Day 2:

09:00 – 10:30 Workshop 2 by Euroclio on Budgeting and Crowd Funding

10:30 – 10:45 Coffee

10:45 – 12:00 Presentations of the participants on their situation.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch

13:00 – 16:00 Workshop 3 by UNPO team on Negotiation Strategies

16:15- 17:45 Workshop 4 by Jochem de Groot from D66 Liberal Party on Media and Communication

Day 3:

09:00 – 10:30 Workshop 5 by UNPO team on Campaign Communication Strategies

Kindly note that UNPO is unable to arrange or fund travel and accommodation. We can recommend accommodation upon request. A participation fee of €50 is requested to cover facilitation, lunches and publishing of training manuals. All aspects of the event will be conducted in English.
