BORAME (Somalilandsun). The Vice President of Somaliland Hon. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail Sayli official visit to Borama town, headquarter of Awdal Region where chaos erupts in the city and emphasis on the measures taken by the chiefs of that region.
Vice president was among the team who are in a target of settling down the commotion erupted in the Awdal region these days.
“I would like to express to the senior government officials, elders, business persons and other respected people that we are here to have an absolute negotiations between each other and make a firm understanding to maintain peace and unity to end this mayhem once and for all and any mistakes happened should be rectified easily.” Said Vice President
In the recent past Awdal region has been engulfed in controversies following anti-Somaliland sentiments expressed by Sultan Abikar who was also reportedly leading Samaron clan militias in a bid to confront Somaliland authorities.
The Awdal saga started with a video clip released by the reneged Awdal region sultan in which he vomited anti-Somaliland state hood sentiments without giving clear grievances that he is attributing to his clansmen.
