HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Shareholders of Telesom group consisting telecommunication, darasalam bank, Somgas and electricity TEC traveling across Somaliland regions, including management held a meeting at Guleid hotel Hargeisa.
The Meeting participants poled from senior management discussed achievements the company has achieved as well as strategized on how to reach anticipated goals in the next years.
Telesom Chairman Mr. Abdikarim M. Iid, who spoke at the meeting stated, “with the grace of Allah all goals have been accomplished, we are planning to introduce new projects, like infrastructure and different new technology will be inaugurated within these year.
Telesom Chairmain, Mr. Iid, explained reason they opened new company, like Somgas and Darasalam Bank, said he, “Reason was to invest new angles, lacking our country, like Somgas and Darasalam bank, and populace was looking for.
“In the near future we will built largest Gas terminal at Horn Africa in Berbera, which will add more energy needed in Somaliland and neighbor countries. Lastly, he argued shareholders to empower their knowhow, and to act as ambassador to reach our goals.
Head of Telesom Isse M. Farah, who spoke at the meeting explained further different services they provide customers, and how company enlarged their technology capacity,
“Telesom telecommunication consists three important branches, finance, electricity and Zaad remittances, operating 349 offices throughout the country.
“Introducing Zaad service, company was commended like Microsoft owner, who directed other to seek and copy how we introduced, Telsom slogan is “Let me eat, let us eat all, together we share”
Lastly telecommunication head Mr. Isse advised shareholders to safeguard their income source,
“every person has duty to his investment, let us safeguard together our income source, an reinvest our profit to the company, and use its services, whether its Gas company and Bank.”
Heads of Gas company and Darasalam bank also detailed their responsibilities.
“As you were shareholders of Telsom telecommunication, like wise are Darasalam shareholders, and is part of profit you earn.” Said Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, chairman of Abdikarim X. Muse, head of Somgas, said, “Reason we created this company was preserving our environment, and creates new job opportunities, were shareholder , our trade and income gain profit.
He elaborated phobia during starting period where populace afraid explosion using the gas, but we overcome lastly, and people adapted to use. He also thanked Somaliland president Ahmed Silanyo and Minister of environment Miss Shugri.
Head of TEC, electricity Eng. Muse C. Egeh, said,
“Telsom is the first company offered 24 hour electricity, and plan to sell low cost electricity to our customers. Parts of your profit was earned by TEC, so we need your support if you are shareholders, and use our services.
Lastly, different invited guest who spoke at the event advised Telesom shareholders to work together, in order to reach higher, and completed best way at the meeting.
