HARGEISA, (Somalilandsun) –Telesom Company, the leading provider of telecommunication internet and mobile money transfer services in Somaliland, on Friday night held a prestigious awards evening for employees at Ambassador Hotel in Hargeisa.
The event, in its 12th year saw employees receiving awards for exceptional contributions to the business in terms of meeting financial targets, and living the company values of service excellence, commitment to quality, care and innovation.
The event which was mainly private was attended by Telesom employees, Telesom Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abdikarim Mohamed Eid, Depuy chairman of Telesom Company Mohamoud Haji Adam (Hadeed), executive board members headed by the operational manager of the company Mr. Essa Mohamoud Farah, Darasalam Bank chairman Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, SOMGAS company chairman Mr. Abdikarim Haji Muse Muruqliqe, Telesom Electricity Company chairman Eng. Muse Ali Egge as well as the departmental heads of Telesom Company.
During the event one thousand and twenty one employees from the different departments of the company in all regions of the country received awards in varying categories.
Speaking during the occasion Telesom head of human resource department Abdikadir Mohamed Sahal said that his department plays a vital role in providing support for the company to achieve its corporate objectives in all possible ways.
“The total number of employees receiving awards this year is one thousand and twenty one employees. It is well known among Telesom staff that the employee who scores A+, A- and B+ will receive an award.” Abdikadir said while speaking at the ceremony.
“For any business these days, scaling the heights of success is not always an easy task, and it is very important that our company employees play a key role” Abdikadir added.

Thanked Telesom employees for showing diligence and hard work. Mr. Essa also narrated the important services the company introduced last year.
The deputy CEO of Telesom Company Mr. Mohamoud Haji Adam (Hadeed) explained why Telesom became the first and the leading telecommunication company in the country.
“Telesom Company has the motto “Telesom is first” because Telesom was the first company which brought the mobile phone communication service in the country. Also Telesom was the first company which brought high speed internet and EVC service in the country. Telesom also became the first company which introduced mobile money transfer known as ZAAD service,” Hadeed said while explaining the company motto.
