Somalilandsun: Taiwanese diplomats in Hargeisa have briefed the Somaliland parliament in their country’s commitment to the diplomatic pact signed in February this year.
This commitment was revealed during a meeting between the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives Bashe Mohamed Farah and Taiwan’s Deputy Ambassador to Somaliland Mr. Nabil Chen-Chi Wu held in Hargeisa
The Somaliland legislators at the meeting who were led by Speaker Bashe included his First Deputy Ahmed Yasin Sh. Ali Ayaanle, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee Ahmed Abdi Kijaandhe, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Abdiaziz Ismail Duale and Secretary of the House clerk Abdirizak Said Ayanle.
During the meeting, which lasted for several hours, the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives briefed the Deputy Ambassador of Taiwan on the tremendous progress that Somaliland has made over the past three decades.
He briefed the Ambassador on Taiwan’s commitment to strengthening relations with Somaliland while expressing his admiration for the development, peace and mature democracy that Somaliland enjoys, noting that many fully recognized countries are ahead of Somaliland.
In details were the progress made by Somaliland as pertains to the country’s progress and highlighted the invaluable role of Somaliland in regional peace and stability.
