HAJI SALAH (Somalilandsun) – Three firearms believed to have been used in the commitment of brutal murder of Haji Salah police station’s boss Mr. Hurre Sahal were found abandoned in a house within a village named Bali Said that is geographically in the Somali inhabited federal region of Ethiopia’s Gashamo state that also shares a border with Somaliland’s town of Haji Salah.
The mayor of Haji Salah town Hon. Khadar Abdi Oday while on a telephone interview with gudgudenews.com affirmed that sooner or later the cop’s killers would be brought to books as no stone would be left unturned in trailing the assailant courtesy of a joint police operations composed of Somaliland & Ethiopian team of officers.
The mayor during the telephone briefing had this to say, “First & foremost let me condole the bereaved family members of Haji Salah officer commanding station, may the Almightily Allah rest his departed soul in heavenly high points. Secondly I want to inform all of you that thorough investigations have been initiated to get the killers through a joint police operation consisting of officers from Somaliland & Ethiopian police who are still trailing the assailants. Thirdly I have just received information that already three rifles that were used in the commitment of the murder have been found abandoned at a house in Balli Said, a center that is administratively under the jurisdiction of Gashammo state of Ethiopia’s semi autonomous Somali inhabited region. Lastly it is my pleasure to inform you that the joint police forces are now approaching here (Haji Salah) to surrender the said rifles to our authorities”.
Mayor Oday also parted a cautionary statement to the resident of Haji Salah against taking the law unto their hands pending the outcome of the investigations. He also equated the police officer’s murder to a previous one that cost the life of another officer’s life but warned against speculating leaving investigations to take its course.
The Haji Salah police boss was killed at night while on duty through a storm of bullets perpetrated by a group of people three of whom are reported to have been nabbed and undergoing investigations.
