As Western Australia ready to assist Africa’s mining sector and Holland, Shabangu clash at Africa Down Under

PERTH (Somalilandsun) – Somaliland shall brush shoulders with the executive leadership of some of the world’s largest mining companies in one location at the same time at the INDABA Mining Exploration Conference to be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 3rd to 6gth February 2014.
This official invitation was extended to the Somaliland minister of Energy Hussein Abdi Duale by the South African Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shabangu at the ongoing at Africa Down Under conference in Perth Australia where both the ministers are participants.

During the 2014 Indaba which is the world’s largest mining investment event and Africa’s largest mining event Somaliland shall not only have the opportunity to brush shoulders with the sectors top brass but to show case its abundant investment opportunities as well.
The prestigious INDABA Mining Exploration Conference which is where the world connects with African mining recorded in 2012 a participating list of more than 7,800 individuals representing more than 1,500 international companies from 100 countries and approximately 45 African and non-African government delegations.
Apart from the south Africans minister Duale whose international networking prowess of reckon had the opportunity to meet with the Australian minister of Foreign affairs Mr. Bob Carr who promised to explore avenues in which his government and private sector can implement commercial and related partnership with Hargeisa.
The Somaliland energy minister who is attending the Africa Down under Conference upon official invitation from the organizers that has attracted 2500 delegates representing various concerns worldwide is also reported to be holding discussions with the 45 ministers from Africa.
At the conference Mr. Duale a US educated and trained petroleum engineer is expected to woo investors by show casing Somaliland’s large deposit of oil, natural gas, minerals and other resources. In addition, he is expected to market Somaliland as a stable and favorable investment destination open for foreign investment.

The Africa Down Under conference was started 10 years ago, when it attracted about 90 delegates and representation from 25 mining companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
As a conference on mining in Africa, the Perth-based function is now second in size and importance only to the Mining Indaba held in Cape Town every February.
This year Africa Down Under has attracted nearly 2,000 delegates and has representation from about 200 mining companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange that, between them, are involved in more than 1,100 projects spread across 40 African countries.
Meanwhile the Perth Africa Down Under conference has seethe government of Western Australia say it is ready to assist Africa’s mining sector as GOLD Fields CEO Nick Holland and Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shabangu clashed over the rate of return required for mining investments in South Africa.
