Somaliland: President Silanyo Receives Delegation from Islamic Development Bank

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo has on today received a delegation from Islamic Development Bank in his Hargeisa office, as the president congratulated the delegation for their visit to Somaliland and the ongoing development projects run by the Organization in the country.

The delegation from the Islamic Development bank has been in the country for the last 4 days.

This was stated in a press release issued by Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Ahmed Saleban Dhuhul after the meeting between the delegation and the Head of State in the Presidential Palace.

Mr. Dhuhul has also stated in his press release that the Islamic Development Bank are currently implementing several ongoing development assignments including projects relating; enhancing Hargeisa main hospital’s infrastructures, as well as, Hargeisa and Gabiley Orphanage centers.

Presidential Spokesman added that the delegation and the President of Somaliland Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo have agreed that his government and the Islamic Development Bank to continue expanding their co-existance and make their cooperation more effective than ever before.

During the meeting with the delegation, President Ahmed Silanyo was accompanied by Vice President Abdirahman Ismail Seili’I, and ministers for Finance and Foreign Affairs.
