HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – As part of activities for the holy month of Ramadan the president hosted Sheikh Hussein Nuur Qalinle at the presidency where they broke the fast and parleyed over a sumptuous dinner.
Sheikh Qalinle who hails from Awdal region is a prominent Islamic religious scholar who is the recipient of the Rabidatu Alam Islam award for 2013 from the responsible committee based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
While congratulating the sheikh for his prowess in Islamic religion that led to the international award president Silanyo said while the identification came as a result of the Sheikhs’ knowledge the recognition is shared by all Somalilanders.
The head of state further urged the sheikh who mainly deals with uplifting the religious knowledge of adults in Awdal region to spread his activities in all regions thus benefit not only other adults in the country but help strengthen the nation’s religious base as well.
