HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The political situation in the country has deteriorated to a point never witnessed since the secession of Somaliland from Somalia in 1991.

Well placed sources have informed the press that the flamboyant minister in the office of the president Mr. Hirsi Ali Hassan has come out to act as leopard in sheep skin by accumulating power of the president and acting as if he is the head of state. To add insult to injury he has changed the political climate by preaching clanism amongst the population. To make the matters worse he has openly announced to fight a local clan which resides in the country.

He even swore to get rid of the house speaker Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Irro). Confidential reports reveal that the minister is orchestrating a civil war by monies collected for the construction of the Erigavo road. The inexperienced minister came to power as a result of patronage by the president H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmud (Silanyo) who is related to the minister. Some political analyst believes that if the minister’s intension are not checked it may lead to the total collapse the republic of Somaliland.
