HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Fire brand politician and former SNM freedom fighter Mr. Ibrahim Abdillahi Hussein (Dhegaweine)has called members of the public to come out in large numbers in support for opposition party for justice and development(UCID) announced demonstration against the government
The demonstrations are in protest against allegedly dictatorial tendencies by H.E Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud(Silanyo) the president of Somaliland.
He accused the government for muzzling freedom of expression in the country.
He also asked the government to immediately release journalist in police custody.
The former Somali national movement freedom fighter was speaking during a press conference he called, ‘everyday they arrest two journalist refusing them visits by relatives as if they are prisoners of war (paw)”.
He warned the government against using live bullets on the protesters threatening that if they dare they will face the consequences of their actions.
