HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – A high powered team of politicians and administration officials is to undertake training in Addis Ababa capital of neighbouring Ethiopia.
The Somaliland team led by Speaker of parliament cum leader of opposition party Wadani Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi ‘Irro’ shall also hold workshop sideline talks with African Union-AU and Ethiopian government officials.
The on training visit delegation includes 20 members of parliament, Government ministers and a number of ministerial Director Generals (Permanent Secretaries).
During a pre-departure press briefing at Egal international airport in Hargiesa Abdirahman Irro said the Leadership good governance training that comes at a very opportune period and delivered by prominent personalities under the auspices of the AU shall be very beneficial to the entire nation.
“While in Addis Ababa we shall also utilize the opportunity of networking with AU bureaucrats especially as pertains to our country’s quest for recognition as a sovereign nation” said Irro while being scanty with details especially on the sponsors of the workshop and its duration.
