This deal would ensure that all imports are sent to Berbera, Somaliland which would further increase the booming trade of this port. This is excellent news for the Republic state of Somaliland as having this deal further strengthens Somaliland’s case as a fully independent state especially with the Port soon to be managed by the world renowned Dubai World.
