Somalilandsun – The minister of livestock Dr. Abdi Dahir has briefed members of the house of elders who also queried him about the activities of his ministry.
Dr. Dahir said his ministry is to take care for livestock the main source of the economy of Somaliland adding that for the last three years the market of livestock has risen up with over three million and two hundred thousand exported via Berbera port in 2013.
He also said parliament approved meet regulation he said the ministry is to care the health of the livestock in order to get healthy meat.
He added that the ministry will employ qualified workers to be deployed in all the country’s regions.
