HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The imminent visit by the Turkish Deputy Prime minister has been signaled by the arrival in Hargeisa of the country’s’ envoy to Somaliland and Somalia Ambassador Cemalletin Kanu.
The Diplomat who is based in the Kenya Capital Nairobi who is in Somaliland for a four days visit is accompanied by a number of investors from his country interested in tapping into the virgin thus lucrative investment sector.
Informing that he is in the country to enhance existing partnership between Somaliland and turkey Ambassador Cemelletin also revealed that the accompanying investors in his entourage are here to make final touches to their concerns arrival and set-up in the country.
During a recent visit to Turkey by a high level delegation led by President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo, Turkish officials among them Prime Minister Erdoğan promised increased bi-lateral with an exchange of diplomats based in the two countries capitals.
Also agreed was an official visit by Erdogan’s Deputy before the end of this year as well as a massive economical development package by both the Public and private sectors of Turkey.
Briefing the press at the Egal International VIP lounge Ambassador Cemelletin who was flanked by the Somaliland minister of planning Dr Saad Ali shire said that he is visiting to enhance economic and diplomatic relations as well as pursue issues pertaining to the postponed talks between Somaliland and Somalia that his country is hosting.
During the Turkish delegations four days visit they are expected to meet with various stockholders among them the head of state president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo as well as visit several areas in the country where historical Turkish monuments still exist.
While the official statement was about bilateral and trade relations sources indicate that Ambassador Cemelletin’s real mission is formalizing arrangements for his country’s deputy prime minister’s visit to Somaliland.
