The Sool governor Mr. Mustaffe Abdi Isse has announced that several developmental programs that the government has projected for the region are in the pipeline and are about to commence.
The RG gave the revelations in a speech during the 18th May Celebrations at Lasanod.
The projects will touch on the social infrastructure, education and associated public services.
“Where we are standing (the Lasanod stadium) will soon see a “grass” carpet over it”, said the RG. He said that the carpet which is in the high seas is already on its way to Lasanod.
“A six km tarmac within the town is to be constructed”, said Mustaffa.
He revealed that a boarding school worth several million dollars will soon be established come June courtesy of Somaliland development Fund.
The RG also said that 150 students in secondary schools will receive scholarship programs and taken for tertiary education in Ethiopia.
