HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The online versions of Haatuf and Somalilandtimes sites are inaccessible following court orders.

The various telecommunication companies in the country have successfully blocked the online publications of the Haatuf media group in pursuant to a court order to the effect as in relation to a case before the court that led to the proscription of the papers print version.

This action is also attributed to the temporary inaccessibility of English language websites among them somaliland yesterday as it is now apparent when the telecoms were fulfilling stipulations from the court.

Haatuf media group compound in Hargeisa is still under heavy police guard after they took over the place from orders emanating the same Hargeisa regional court after the paper was reported to have crossed the boundaries of journalism by publishing false and malicious reports about senior government officials mostly the minister of Energy.

Just the other day reports indicate that police failed to effect the arrest of the Haatuf editor Yusuf Abdi Gaboobe after they surrounded his house but without a warrant.

Meanwhile the embattled editor of Haatuf is organizing a press conference in company of some human rights organizations to be held in Hargeisa on the 18th April.
