HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Arrangements are in top gear as pertains to activities during forthcoming commemoration on the birthday of Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings be upon him).
The Jimiayatul Ahbab society which is organizing the prophet’s birthday activities has urged the populace of Somaliland to participate in Commemorating the event of the Prophet’s birth thus express their love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
According to the Jimiayatul Ahbab society which is headquartered in Hargeisa and engages in organizing religious events the commemorations of the prophet’s birthday to be held on 12th Rabi’ Al-Awwal (Islamic calendar) which would fall a week before end of January 2013 should be utilized to inspire youths and educate people on the great life, deeds and character of Prophet Mohamed-PBUH.
In a statement released by the society’s Secretary of awareness and Guidance Abdihakim Ali Hussein (Mi’ir) “It is permissible to praise the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through speeches, nashids (songs), etc., as long we do so within the limits of the Shari’ah” thence the request for all citizens to partake in the commemorations.
