HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – In conjunction with the government of Somaliland Care USA shall continue supporting diverse projects in the country.
This was informed by the Director of Care International Ms. Michelle Nunn during a meeting with Somaliland Vice president Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail ‘Sayli’ at the presidency in Hargeisa.
At a joint press briefing held after the closed door meeting Ms Nunn Said “Though my agency works in 90 countries I chose Somaliland because of the efforts its citizens have undertaken in uplifting their lives”
Ms Nunn, a social entrepreneur and public service pioneer, was appointed on April the president and CEO of CARE USA as replacement for Helene D. Gayle, who is stepping down after nearly a decade of service. Somaliland is her first visit prior to her official ascension to office on 1st July 2015
“Am determined in enhancing the Care USA interventions especially in the Education, Health, Skills based trainings and Teacher training projects in Somaliland” Said Ms Nunn
VP Sayli who extended thanks to the visiting executive for the continued participation of her organization in the country’s development activities said that the administration of president Silanyo ensures that donor funds are utilized as planned.
