Somalilandsun – The Minister of State for education Mr. Ahmed Mohamud Fahie cut the ribbon to unveil a new school built in Bari-Arale in Daad-madheed region by his ministry. The construction was funded by the Care International.
Present during the ceremony were the regional education coordinator, the regional governor and senior officials from Care International. Speaking to the press at Odweine town the Daad-madheed regional governor Mr. Jamal Ali Hurre thanked the minister of education Mrs. Zamzam Abdi Aden for her initiative. The Care International national coordinator for Somaliland/Somalia Mr. Abdillahi Yusuf Mohammed said that they are going to build more schools in the region which lacks educational institutions. He was thanked by a colleague from Care head office in Hargeisa Mrs. Fatuma.
Mr. Ahmed said that he was going to lobby for more funds to uplift the educational standard in the region and asked the people of Daad-madeedh to work with the government to improve educational institutions in the area. He also thanked Care International for enormous support they render to the less deprived in the society and requested them to continue to support development projects in Somaliland.
