Somalilandsun – On Sunday, Nov. 9 2014- Somalilanders and Britons alike attended the centenary anniversary in remembrance of soldiers who perished serving the British Empire during the First World War-WW1 among them hundreds of Somalilanders.
Soldiers from the then British protectorate of Somaliland who were members of the Somaliland scouts Battalion and various King African Rifles regiments fought for the empire during the first and second war wars. Continue reading
