Somaliland: Be Wary of Mischief Brewing in Mogadishu, Buhodle Residents Warned

Somalia authorities are regular formenters of insecurity in Buhodle

Somalilandsun- Various externally and internally based forces aghast at the prevalent Peaceful co-existence among communities in Somaliland are intent on detrimental measures
This was stated by the Somaliland deputy minister of Justice Yusuf Ahmed Farah during an interview with Dawan newspaper in which he revealed that machinations to disrupt existing peace and security in Buhoodle district of Sool region are being strategized by anti-Somaliland elements in Mogadishu the capital of Somalia
“I hereby urge the people of Buhoodle to be wary of imminent activities geared towards reversing existing peace and security in the district” said the deputy minister adding that factual information indicate that the sole aim of these foreign funded plot is to scuttle the Khatumo peace accord signed by president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo and Prof Ali Khalif Galayd mid this year
Somaliland deputy justice minister Yusuf Ahmed FarahStressing on the importance of ensuring that the peace accord is fully implemented, Minister Yusuf Ahmed reminded Buhoodle residents of the mayhem existing prior to the agreement between the government of Somaliland and the Khatumo state o Somalia secession movement.
While a majority of Sool region residents are benefitting from the peace agreement a small d minority that usually gains financially from instability in the area are arranging a meeting in Buhoodle town where a new secession movement shall be announced said the minister who hails from Buhoodle district
Currently residents of Sool region are enjoying full public services courtesy of the peace agreement not to mention that families formerly displaced are not only reunited but living peacefully as opposed to pre-peace accord in which constant skirmishes between Somaliland security forces and Khatumo militia only resulted in deaths, injuries, destruction of property and internal displacement.

The accord initiated by president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo in which Khatumoists relinquished their secession in quest of a Khatumo state o Somaliland presumably to have been curved of parts Sanaag region and entire Sool region was initially facilitated by Ethiopia and later by Djibouti with final signature in Hargeisa
Wondering on the premise that leads a supposed Politian to pursue strategies that only entail destruction among his or her kinsmen, the deputy minister who went on to accuse Puntland of fore fronting said that not only Buhoodle but entire Sool region was part and parcel of Somaliland, and that activities to the contrary were futile

Bordering Somaliland to the east, Puntland which is a regional administration of Somalia is committed to the insecurity of Somaliland through claims over eastern Sanaag and entire Sool region of which it alleges control owing to clan relations between its predominant Majeertan and the Warsengelis in Sanaag and Dhulbahante in Sool region.
Queried on what policies the administration of president-elect Muse Behi Abdi should effect in its dealings with country’s eastern regions deputy minister Yusuf Ahmed first too the opportunity to congratulate the incoming Somaliland head of state for securing 55% o votes cast during the 13th November presidential elections
“Secondly, I urge president Muse Behi upon assuming office to not only ensure implementation of the Khatumo accords facilitated by his predecessor but to see to it that full public services are availed among them security against the few foreign funded malcontents”
The son of Buhoodle called upon Sool region traditional leaders, Elders and politician to help deter the planned anti-Somaliland meeting that is to be conveyed in Buhoodle town
In the meantime the Somaliland president-elect has already met with Khatumo leader Prof Ali Khalif Galayd in Hargeisa where it was mutually agreed on the imperatives of fully implementing the peace accords.
