HARGEISA(Somalilandsun) –The Congress of Ruling Party KULMIYE is significant event in Somaliland’s political arena since it nominally decides the leadership of the ruling party Kulmiye, and December Congress is expected to attract over the attention of thousands of Somaliland people including country’s mass media communication.

“The ruling party in their yesterday session chaired by party’s current chairman Mouse Bihi Abdi held at the house of Somaliland’s Vice President Abdirahman Ismail Seili’i, KULMIYE’s central committee have approved 801 members to be the official delegates of party’s 3rd National Congress,” This was said in a press release issued by Secretary General of KULMIYE Mr. Hassan Siciid after the meeting concluded.

The Secretary General added that the committee agreed to have another meeting on tomorrow (Today) to further discuss how the recently approved preparatory committee will have a well-laid plan to address party’s forthcoming congress which will be held in 25 December.

“After discussion and constructive debate among party’s central committee, we have agreed that members of the official delegates of the 3rd congress of ruling party will come from regions, districts, and will from both party’s overseas and local branches.” Concluded Mr. Hassan,

President Silanyo had a meeting with party’s leadership and its central committee at country’s presidential palace on Sunday night and Urged Kulmiye’s leadership to successfully hold their 3rd Congress and the meantime send a message to those who are opponents to party’s existence and are against the success, cooperation and the existence of Kulmiye party and his government
