Somalilandsun: Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee have met with the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mr. Numan Kurtulmus, during an official visit to Turkey. The discussions focused on advancing collaboration between the two nations, especially on capacity-building for Somali parliamentary staff and ongoing construction projects, including Somalia’s Parliament building and embassy in Ankara.
The Turkish Speaker reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s democratic development, particularly in facilitating technical and experiential assistance for Somalia’s planned one-person, one-vote electoral system.
