Somalilandsun- As you may know, The Republic of Somaliland, The United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia signed a historic agreement which includes the expansion of the Berbera port, a new airport in the port city, and a state of the art Free Zone offering thousands of companies the opportunity to grow their operations and contacts in Africa.
Furthermore, this agreement also includes the development and maintenance of a corridor that links Somaliland to Ethiopia, a country of 100 million people, which is landlocked and heavily dependent on Djibouti and Somaliland when it comes to its import and export.
Security
For security, the UAE will have a military base which will involve an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 soldiers to ensure trade is safe and protected.
Furthermore, the UAE army will be supported by both the Somaliland and Ethiopian military and police.
