Adly Mansour replaces Morsi as President

Somalilandsun – Egypt Independent is reporting that Adly Mansour has been named interim president of Egypt following the military ousting Mohammed Morsi.

During a televised TV address the head of Egypt’s army Gen Abdul Fattah al-Sisi said the constitution had been suspended and the chief justice of the constitutional court Adly Mansour would take on Mr Morsi’s powers.

Flanked by religious and opposition leaders, Gen Sisi said Mr Morsi had “failed to meet the demands of the Egyptian people”.

on May 19, 2013 to replace his boss Maher El-Behairy who retired at the end of June.
