The appointee Ambassador Abdirizak Diinaari Is former Somaliland envoy to Pakistan and currently an Independent Diplomat for International Consultant Peace & Development

SUBJECT: Appointment of an Ambassador At Large, to cover our relations with the European Commission and the Danish International Development Agency
Quote- The Chairman of the WADDANI Party and Presidential Candidate of Somaliland, HE. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), in his capacity as the Chairperson of WADDANI opposition Party (Somaliland National Party) as well as the Presidential Candidate of the same Party, would like to appoint Mr. Abdirizak Ahmed Farah (Ambassador Diinaari) as an Ambassador At-Large to the European Union Commission, and to MFA/DANIDA and the UNECA.
We believe this will be the first step for the WADDANI Party to establish a long-lasting relationship with both the EU Commission and DANIDA, to serve the interests of both our peoples. The Ambassador will foster WADDANI Party relationship with all concerned, undertake relevant negotiations and enter agreements on behalf of WADDANI Party, nurture mutually beneficial relations with above parties to further the interest of the people of the Somaliland Republic, and to strengthen mutual cooperation to fight terrorism, piracy, illegal immigration (Tahriib) and all acts detrimental to our security. Furthermore, our Ambassador is responsible in strengthening our maturing partnership and facilitate your growing support to our people’s aspiration to build a democratic and rule of law state.
