Somalilandsun – Opposition party Wadani has concluded its four days national delegate’s convention with the nomination of presidential and vice president candidates.
Accordingly Dr Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi ‘Irro’ who was the sole candidate was officially nominated to vie for the Somaliland presidency on a Wadani party ticket during elections slated for the 28th March 2017.
His running who was nominated after a very hot contested is Ambassador Mohamed Haji Ali Abdi who garnered the opportunity after defeating his opponent and 1st deputy party vice chairman Ahmed Mumin Seeth.
The opposition party convention also accepted the recent MOU that was entered upon with for ruling party functionaries now in opposition led by ex-presidency minister Hirsi Haji Ali among thermo former foreign affairs and justice ministers Mohamed Behi Abdi and Hussein Ahmed Aideed respectively.
Similar the elevation of MP Abdiqadir Jirde as party chairman replacing presidential candidate Abdirahman Irro was also accepted with his official ascension to office slated for within forty five days from date of approval as per the party’s constitutional dictates.
