Somalilandsun – Doctors are flocking to the residence of the Vice President in Hargeisa to examine the physical condition of the inhabitant.
This medical attention comes after the Somaliland Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail ‘Sayli’ sustained injuries to his right hip in the early morning of Sunday the 6th November that has incapacitated his movement.
During a Briefing to his boss president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo, who visited him in the afternoon, VP Sayli said that the hip injury occurred after he slipped up on stepping on wet marbles tiles in the floor of his house.
According to a statement released by the presidency the Vice President who can not move with aid is under examination by an orthopedic specialist as well as other physicians accompanied by physiotherapists to determine the extend of damage to the hipbone and any other areas if exist.
During the visit to his injured deputy, president Silanyo was accompanied by his private secretary Ahmed Ali Ahmed as well as presidency minister and state ministers Mahmud Abdi Hashi and Mohamed Muse Abees respectively.
Sources indicate that the state is making arrangements to dispatch the VP abroad for specialized treatment if local facilities are found insufficient.
