Somalilandsun- Departed bus station Harar 6;30 a.m.bus to Jijiga 30 BR .Them mini bus to Wajaale 40 BR.Walk to border.Ethiopia immigration left side.300 M after Somaliland right side.Shared van to Hargeisa 150 BR.Hargeisa stayed Oriental Hotel.Good place to meet travellers and good breakfast.next morning purchase bus ticket 3.00 $ to Berbera.Did not take permit.Sit rear of bus.Several check stops only one police noticed me .Only looked at passport.Said nothing.Three hrs.later Berbera.Stayed hotel up hill from All Madina which was full.mine 5.00 $ a dump but friendly people,bit of a court yard to sit watch t.v. and the boys chewing chat.Also provided tea no charge.Restaurant over looking the port Al Xayaat excellent fish and chips.then walked out to end of pier after to Baathoela Beach,hitched a ride as quite a walk.Nice beach,only tourist there, several locals.Nobody bothered me.Hitched back to town easy.No one asked for money.Another good restaurant in town market area Al Reyaan .Chicken,rice,large water,fruit salad -5.oo $Bus back to Hargeisa morning 3.00 $,one check stop.Police looked in and walked out.Bus tomorrow to border 3.oo$.
Was it worth obtaining visa fro 70.00$ ,come here for 3 days.Yes.it,s a world apart from Ethiopia.like the wild west.
