DOHA (Somalilandsun) – A Somalilander resident in Qatar suspected of belief in Somalia unionism is forcing fellow citizens to live with daily exasperations whose Irks is reaching boiling point.
The quagmire of the Qatari based landers emanate from the change of name of a popular hotel whose clientele has always been predominantly Somaliland based.
The owner of the hotel who has been suspected of unionism tendencies finally brought his true political colours to light when he change the name of the eatery in Doha to “Somalia Star Restaurant”
“Unashamedly and without compassion for the feelings of Somalilanders who are/were his main clients, the owner renamed his hotel after the neighbouring Somalia and splashed the country’s flag five star blue flag all over” says Abdulqadir Warsame Ali, a Somaliland citizen resident in Doha Qatar.
According to Mr. Ali the traitorous hotelier originally from Dadmadhedh region of Somaliland has upon naming his restaurant after Somalia managed to politicize a simple and sumptuous dinner while the flag of Somalia encourages southerners to belittle Somalilanders.
Abdulqadir Warsame Ali a patriotic Somalilander who could not stomach this act which he terms an insult to the intelligence of =fellow citizens resident or visiting the gulf country said,
“Thinking that the blue flag with a star in the middle will enhance his status and increase profits, the name change has resulted in the opposite as all landers have changed their rice consumption to other venues in the Qatari capital”
While such acts are abominable inside the Republic of Somaliland where it might lead to a lynching the indifference of foreign countries towards the relations between Somaliland and Somalia should not be used by traitors.
The irony of the natter is that before the change of name to “Somalia Star Restaurant” the Doha eatery used to be known as “HARGEISA INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT”
To Abdirashid the owner of the restaurant we at Somalilandsun who sympathize we colleagues in Qatar say “SHAME ON YOU” for mixing business and politics and more so for hurting the feelings of Qatari Somalilanders.
