BURAO (somalilamd sun) -The annual ceremony of Togdher region’s Diaspora commemoration held in state house of Buroa city on Saturday evening.
The occasion attended by the minister of public works and housing, state minister of planning, Togdheer regional governor, Sanag Regional governor, Mayor of Buroa district, Burcoa district councilors, and hundreds of region’s Diaspora in the country. Buroa residents as well as regional dignitaries were in the attendance.
Mubarak Yusuf Elmi, a member of Buroa councilors, who made gallant effort for orchestrating the ceremony, has elaborated that the meeting was intended to inspire and motivate the region’s Diaspora will participate the developmental activities of the Buroa district as well as regional improving programs.
Mubarak Yusuf had gave full detailed and summarized information about the current activities and the upcoming projects due to hence the social development of the region, likewise he demanded the Diaspora to invest and take vital role of urbanizing Burco district.
The governor of Tog-dher region Mohamed Aden, suggested the the region’s Diaspora around the world to come and invest for their home region. he pledged that they would in access to any comfortable service which they prefer.
“We are summiting the region’s community around the world an strong plea and requesting to participate the developmental visions. As regional administration we are welcoming any fact finding groups whom are investigating the truthful of the developmental programs and our clear commitment towards warm receiving of the region’s Diaspora,” TRG said during his keynote speech to the occasion.
On his part Somaliland’s Minister of public works, Ali Hassan Mohamed, spotlighted that the country’s Diaspora in worldwide have had lion’s share of reconstructing of the country. He likewise expounded that they are the biggest source of Somaliland’s economy.
President Silanyo rewarded the Diaspora for nominating most of his government officials for a Diaspora, said the Somaliland Minister of public works.
The minister called on to the Somaliland’s community in the world to enlarge their touchable role of improving the and basic needs as well as infrastructure.
Mayor of Buroa district Mohamed Murad, described such meetings will link the district council and the Diaspora he further welcomed their suggestions. He vowed that they would create the way the Diaspora can contribute when it comes to development of the regional and district development.
The mayor hailed Mubarak Yusuf Elmi who he called mastermind and linkage between the Buroa’s councilors and the Diaspora.
Finally the Togdher regional governor Mr. Mohamed Aden, has handed over a honorable certificate to the minister of public works, Ali Mohamed Hassan, who he asserted frequently gives hand any developmental activities in the regions.
Meanwhile the mayor of Buroa Mohamed Murad, also awarded to Mubarak Yusuf Elmi another certificate which he earned for his exemplary performance the councilor contributed the coordination of the development programs.
