ADDIS ABABA (Somalilandsun) – A Splendid Anjero and Kitfo dinner in Addis was the launching pad for bi-lateral discussions between Somaliland and Ethiopia in Addis Ababa
The dinner at a cozy restaurant in Addis Ababa for the visiting Somaliland ministers of foreign Affairs and Interior Mohamed Behi Younis and Ali Mohamed Waran’ade respectively was hosted by the Ethiopian State Minster for Foreign Affairs in charge of the African desk Amb Birhane Gabrekristos flanked by his ministry’s chief of staff Amb Mulugeta and Principal Secretary Amb Solomon.
The meeting in which the enhancement of existing security, Trade and diplomatic cooperation is also reported to have dwelt at large on the secessionist Khatumo movement in the East of Somaliland led by American Warlord Ali Khalif Galayd who is currently hiding in the Ethiopian town of Jigjiga after escaping possible capture by the national army in Saahdheer town on Wednesday.
The Somaliland ministerial duo of Behi and Waran’ade left Hargeisa on Wednesday evening on an impromptu visit to Addis Ababa following the day’s Ethiopia’s Liyuu police abetment of escape for now wanted fugitive Warlord Galayd.
Though source had indicated that the duo were in pursuit of having the Ethiopians extradite fugitive warlord to Hargeisa for prosecution we are unable to ascertain the results of the request if ever made during the Anjero dinner meeting.
Information reveals that as the Somaliland interior minister Mohamed Ali Waran’ade returns to Hargeisa his colleague Foreign minister Mohamed Behi Younis is expected to move from Ethiopia to North America where he is expected to meet with the UN deputy Secretary General in New York and Subsequent official duties in the Canadian city of Ottawa.
