Somalilandsun – Relatives and friends are mourning the death of Late Abdirahman Abdilahi Hirsi who passed away at the Hargeisa prison on the 19th May.
According to the director of prisons and human rights at Ministry of Justice Ibrahim Khadar Saeed, the late Abdirahman who was serving a long term sentence died at the prison.
This confirmation came upon queries by Geeska Afrika in which the Ministry of Justice official revealed that deceased prisoner succumbed from illness of which he had been receiving medical attention at the penitentiary.
On the legalities surrounding the deceased an elderly man aged 64 years from Borame, the judiciary officially said custodial corps had an ongoing case at the court which remanded him at the prison.
The Somaliland custodial corps released the body of the late Abdirahman Abdilahi Hirsi to his family on the 20th for burial at his home in Borame town Awdal region.
