HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – “I Hereby inform citizens of Somaliland both in the country and Diaspora that I do not maintain a Facebook account”
This was stated by the Somaliland police Commissioner Brigadier Abdilahi Fadal Iman in a Telephone interview with Mustafa Janale of hayaannnews.net in which the law enforcement chief revealed that he is being impersonated in Facebook by a person or persons yet unknown to him.
Any messages or information posted on alleged personal and or police headquarters Facebook accounts is false because I do not maintain any of the purported Facebook pages “said Brig Fadal as he added that investigations are on-going with a view of unearthing the impersonators.
Urging the imitator/s to desist before their identity is unearthed in lieu of dire consequences the police commissioner becomes the second senior figure in Somaliland to deny use of social media in disbursing public information.
