HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Plans are afoot to send the Somaliland Minister of Eastern Regions Development Fuad Aden Ade.
The minister is currently receiving treatment at the Gargar Hospital in Hargeisa for injuries sustained following a car accident at the Somaliland presidency three days ago.
In an interview with Somalilandsun from his hospital bed Minister Fuad Aden said that he is responding well to treatment on his injured pelvis but doctors have advised further specialized examination abroad.
The minster charged with spearheading peace, reconciliation and development strategies in the Eastern Regions (Sanaag, Haysimo, and Buhoodle & Sool) of Somaliland is nursing the injuries which he got after a visitor at the presidency rammed into him as he reversed his car to drive out.
Explaining that ministry of Eastern Regions Development has its offices within the Somaliland presidency compound, minister Fuad Aden Ade who was initially shocked then aghast upon being queried on whether he suspected the accident to result from foul play said,
“Astag-Furullah (God Forbid) for the suggestion, because the accident was nothing but just that, an accident” adding that it was through the grace of Allah the damage to him was minor but his advanced age has necessitated local doctors to recommend specialized attention abroad.
