HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Guurti, the Upper chamber of parliament has lost a prominent member following the demise of late elder Abdilahi Sh Hasan Osman.
While extending condolences to the Guurti elders and Citizens as well the family, relatives and friends of the departed soul the Vice president Hon Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail “Sayli” said the country has lost one of its main peace champions.
The late Abdilahi Sh Hasan Osman who served as an elder in the Guurti for almost two decades died in Hargeisa as a result of medical complications.
VP Sayli who prayed to Allah for succour to the soul of the late Elder Osman said deceased shall be remembered for the prominent role he played in reconciling the nation following the end of civil war from 1991 till his death.
The death of Elder Osman comes on the heels of that of the late Sheikh Ahmed Sh Nuur Fure who was the deputy chair of the Elders house thus imminent replacements from the areas they were nominated from in-order to facilitate the full Guurti quorum of 82.
