Somalilandsun – Somaliland Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon Ahmed Kayse on Thursday opened its first consulate offices in the Washington D.C, the United States capital.
The consulate will oversee the delivery and implementation of Somaliland interests; as well promote relations between Hargeisa and the USA
Ambassador Rashid Nuur Garuf, Somaliland permanent representative speaking during the opening of new consulate offices in the Washington D.C said, “The establishment will mark a new step forward in Somaliland-USA relations.
Somaliland Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon Ahmed Kayse speaking during the occasion said, “I am happy to be here with you today to attend the opening of the first Somaliland consulate offices the Washington D.C. and I would like also to laud Ambassador Rashid Nuur Garuf and his staff for the hard work,
I hope through the establishment of this new office, Somaliland and the USA will enhance diplomatic and bilateral relations between the two nations.
