HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The president of Somaliland is the official ruling party Kulmiye candidate for president in elections slated for 2015.
This was stated by president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo during a press briefing at the Egal International airport upon his retur5n from the United Kingdom where he participated in the one day UK Somaliland Investment Conference held in London on the 14th Oct 2014.
After informing that the investment summit ended in a positive note the head if state categorically denied his alleged withdrawal from the race for the presidency in elections slated for mid 2015 in which he shall pursue a second term.
Urging the media to provide the public with factual information and not innuendoes president Silanyo said that the issue of his having withdrawn from a second bid at the residency were lies and that he shall seek the mandate from the public when the time comes.
